Laurie Michaud is an expert instructional designer, e-Learning developer and corporate learning and development consultant with fifteen years’ experience designing world class learning solutions that align employee performance with organizational goals. Her recent clients include: Hewlett-Packard, LG-CNS, Citrix and Optima Healthcare Solutions and her courses have helped learners all over the world master new skills and advance in their careers.
Laurie's career as an instructional designer began at SkillSoft Client Services where she was the primary author and lead instructional designer for 22 e-Learning courses in Skillsoft’s critically acclaimed business skills library. In 2005, Ms. Michaud formed her own e-learning consulting business through which she has had the good fortune of designing training for some of the world’s top corporations including Apple, Virgin America, Royal Caribbean, Morgan Stanley, XL Insurance, Verizon, CVS Pharmacy, Circuit City, the United Nations, Dale Carnegie Digital, Hewlett Packard, Net Health, LG CNS, Germania Insurance, AutoNation, Sentry Data Systems and many others.
Ms. Michaud is frequently engaged to lead large-scale corporate training initiatives and her customers appreciate her pragmatic, practical approach to learning design along with her creative style and commitment to excellence. As a creative and innovative instructional designer who likes to think “outside the box,” Laurie’s courses are full of interactions, case studies, role plays, activities and real world examples to facilitate learning that goes beyond the classroom, into the workplace and, ultimately,
into the world.
When she is not glued to her computer, Laurie enjoys the peace and tranquility of her home on Hutchinson Island in Florida. She enjoys yoga, Barre class, croquet, stand-up paddle boarding and vegetarian cooking, An active volunteer for a local cat sanctuary for more than 10 years, Laurie served on the board of directors and led fundraising initiatives that raised more than $400,000 in donations.
